The F-35 and S-400 represent major advances in fighter aircraft and air defense systems. This article analyzes in detail the electronic warfare capabilities of the F-35 against the S-400, assessing their respective strengths and weaknesses.
The electronic warfare capabilities of the F-35
The F-35 Lightning II is equipped with the AN/ASQ-239, an advanced electronic warfare system offering 360-degree surveillance and rapid response to threats. The capabilities of the S-400 air defense system
The S-400 Triumf is a Russian air defense system designed to detect, track and destroy long-range air targets. It uses several types of missiles with ranges varying from 40 km to 400 km, capable of engaging aircraft, drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
The S-400 is equipped with radars capable of detecting stealth targets. However, the effectiveness of these radars against aircraft such as the F-35 is subject to debate. Although the S-400 can detect stealth aircraft at greater distances than previous systems, its ability to effectively engage such targets remains uncertain.
